Psychiatric Evaluation

A psychiatric evaluation is required for services; this is a diagnostic tool used to assess where you are at the start of treatment. It can help the psychiatry provider to determine if there are any mental illness or illnesses needing psychiatric care (issues with your behavior, memory, or thought processes).   If there are multiple areas of focus, the evaluation will help the provider to triage needs and set a plan that will be an appropriate course of treatment. The evaluation can take as little as 30 minutes but may last 90 or more minutes.
